Welcome to the Olathe Police Department Citizens Online Police Reporting
System (COPRS). Using COPRS allows you to submit a report immediately
and print a copy of the police report for free. Please ask yourself the
following questions before continuing:
- 1. Is this an emergency? If not, continue. If this is an emergency
please stop and call 911!
- 2. Are there known (i.e., identified) suspects? If not, continue.
If yes, please call us at xxxxxxxxxx
- 3. Did this incident happen within the Olathe city limits? If yes,
continue.
If you answered "no" to questions 1 and 2, and "yes" to question 3, and
you're reporting one of the offenses listed below, you can use COPRS to
file your report online. Please make sure to turn off your pop-up
blocking software before proceeding.
If your answers to any of the questions indicate you can't use COPRS, please
look at our
Online Citizen Police Report Frequently Asked Questions section. When you've
finished the reporting process, you will:
- See the words: "Your online police report has been submitted";
this is your indication that your police report is complete.
- Be given a police report case number.
- Be able to print a copy of the police report to keep for your
records.
Please Note:
- All cases filed using COPRS will be reviewed.
- Upon review, if further investigation of your case is needed,
you may be contacted.
- Filing a false police report is a crime.
